My Story
Hello! My name is Nicole Castle. I am the owner of Pawz & Whiskerz. The photo above is my dog Jasmine and I. Jasmine is a beagle/husky mix. Her favorite thing to do is eat and go for walks! I am 27 years old, Graduated at Medina County Career Center and was in the animal care program. That is not where my love for animals started though. I have had a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes when I was just a little girl. I had always grown up with animals in my family home. At one point we had two English mastiffs, a German Shepard mix, and a beagle all at the same time. When I was in elementary school I wanted to be a Veterinarian when I grew up. That changed over time when we had to say goodbye to our first dog ever (Ramsey). He was the best boy ever! Unfortunately the only worst thing about having a pet is one day you have to say goodbye. Well that time came for Ramsey when he was 15 years old and my parents had to make that hard decision to take him to the vet and say goodbye. Thats when I knew that I did not want to be a veterinarian anymore. No matter if it is my pet or not I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle putting an animal down. After that I had know idea on what I wanted to be when I grew up. All I knew was that I wanted to do something with animals. Then I had the amazing opportunity to go to the Medina County Career Center for Animal Care and got a job at a doggie daycare/boarding place. What an awesome job that was! After working there I then realized what I wanted to do and well that is how Pawz & Whiskerz was born! I realized that there was a high demand in pet sitting. What's better than knowing your pet is comfortable in their own home while you are away? Starting Pawz & Whiskerz was the best decision I have made in my life. This is not just a job for me. It is my passion and I take my business very seriously. Knowing that my clients trust me into their home when they are away is something I would never want to ruin. My goal for Pawz & Whiskerz is to make clients feel at ease knowing that their pets are in good hands while they are away and that the animals are comfortable and happy as well. I look forward to growing Pawz & Whiskerz and making it better for years to come.
